Reality TV star Siggy Flicker, known for her role on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” has been appointed by President Donald Trump to oversee the nation’s Holocaust memorial. Flicker, whose stepson was arrested for his alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent and honor the memory of the Holocaust victims.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, where Flicker will serve on the board of trustees, is dedicated to combating antisemitism through exhibitions, educational programs, and Holocaust commemorations. Established in 1980, the museum raises private funds with the help of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, which includes presidential appointees and members from Congress and government departments.
President Trump praised the new council members for their support of Israel and commitment to ensuring that the world never forgets the atrocities of the Holocaust. Flicker, a vocal supporter of Israel, has a personal connection to the Holocaust through her father who escaped Nazi-occupied Belgium as a child.
Flicker’s stepson, Tyler Campanella, was arrested in connection to the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, facing misdemeanor charges. Despite the legal issues involving her family, Flicker remains an enthusiastic supporter of President Trump, as evidenced by her social media posts and public appearances alongside the former president.
Through her new role overseeing the Holocaust memorial, Flicker aims to honor the memory of the Holocaust victims and promote awareness of the atrocities committed during that dark period in history.
