Glen Rogers, known as the “Casanova Killer,” used his final moments before execution to shout out President Donald Trump, expressing his support and desire for America to continue its greatness. The execution took place at Florida State Prison in Raiford, with witnesses from the Tampa Bay Times and the Associated Press present. Among the witnesses was Randy Roberson, whose mother was a victim of Rogers, and his wife, both expressing surprise at Rogers’ unexpected statement about Trump.
Rogers, 62, was executed for the murder of Tina Marie Cribbs, one of four single mothers in their 30s with reddish hair who fell prey to his charm. Known as both the “Casanova Killer” and the “Cross Country Killer” for his looks and nationwide spree, Rogers claimed to have killed around 70 people, including Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, although no evidence supported these claims.
The Casanova Killer’s victims included individuals like Mark Peters, Sandra Gallagher, Linda Price, Tina Marie Cribbs, and Andy Lou Jiles Sutton. Trump, a vocal advocate of the death penalty, has called for its swift implementation, particularly for murderers on death row for extended periods. He has expressed support for using the death penalty in cases involving migrants who kill Americans, police killers, drug dealers, and human traffickers. Trump’s executive order earlier this year restored federal executions, emphasizing the role of capital punishment in delivering justice and maintaining order in response to heinous crimes.
