“Protesters Target Trump Golf Resort in Response to Gaza Comments: A Bold Stand for Justice”

Activists vandalize Trump golf resort over his comments on emptying out Gaza

Pro-Palestinian activists recently vandalized one of U.S. President Donald Trump’s golf resorts in Scotland in protest against his proposal to empty the Gaza Strip of its Palestinian population. The activists targeted Trump’s Turnberry golf course and hotel in southwest Scotland, where they painted “Gaza Is Not For Sale” in large letters on the lawn and used red spray paint on the clubhouse’s exterior wall. The group Palestine Action stated that they reject Trump’s treatment of Gaza as his property to dispose of as he pleases, emphasizing that even his own property is not immune to acts of resistance.

Police Scotland is currently investigating the incident after receiving a report of the damage. Trump Turnberry condemned the vandalism as a “childish, criminal act” and assured that it would not impact its business operations. The article also highlights the uncertain future of Gaza following the end of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, with no clear direction on what comes next. Trump’s controversial call for the permanent resettlement of Gaza’s population to facilitate U.S. development in the region has been met with strong opposition from Palestinians.

Although Turnberry is part of the rotation to host the British Open, it has not hosted the event since Trump acquired the course in 2014. Despite renovations to several holes, there are currently no immediate plans for the British Open to return to Turnberry, as confirmed by the former chief executive of the British Open organizer, the R&A, in November.
