Trump’s pivot to closer ties with Moscow and withholding military aid to Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression has divided Americans, with 46% supporting conditioning aid on minerals from Ukraine.

Furthermore, Trump’s appointment of Elon Musk to streamline the federal workforce has sparked debate, with 59% supporting downsizing the government but only 40% backing mass layoffs of civil service workers. Criticism has been directed at Trump for going too far with the Musk-led cost-cutting measures, with 50% of respondents expressing concern. The survey, conducted online nationwide, polled 1,174 U.S. adults, with a margin of error of three percentage points.
