Interestingly, there has been little change in these figures since April. The approval ratings for Trump vary significantly along party lines, with 89% of Republicans supporting him compared to only 8% of Democrats and 35% of Independents.

The survey highlighted a notable decrease in the intensity of support for Trump among Republicans, particularly from those who align with the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement. Democrats expressed stronger negative emotions towards the administration, with 51% feeling “furious” compared to 23% of Republicans. Despite this, only 1% of Republicans reported feeling “furious” about Trump’s actions.

Notably, Trump’s strongest policy issue remains immigration, with 51% of Americans approving of his handling of border security and immigration. The president has focused much of his efforts on advancing his immigration agenda, including significant deportations of migrants to various countries. The survey was conducted amidst protests against immigration enforcement, with Trump deploying National Guard troops against the wishes of California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Regarding the economy, opinions were mixed, with 45% of Americans stating that their financial situation has remained the same, 34% reporting a decline, and 21% noting an improvement over the past year. These results were consistent with the findings from the April survey, indicating a stable sentiment towards personal finances.
